I'm So Bored With The U.S.A - The Clash (cover)
Originally the song was called "I'm So Bored With You", and was one that guitarist Mick Jones had written before he joined The Clash. In the first meeting of Jones with singer Joe Strummer after the latter joined the band, Jones played Strummer several of his songs, and when he played him "I'm So Bored With You," Strummer apparently misheard the lyrics as "I'm So Bored with the USA."
Thinking that this would form a great song about the social ills of America, Strummer started coming up with new lyrics before Jones could explain that actually it was about his then-current on-off relationship.
It appears that the song was a work in progress, as in their earlier shows in August and September 1976, the song was in it's original "You" form as a song about the end of a relationship, but by October it had fully transformed into "I'm So Bored with the USA."
Originally demoed with slightly different lyrics during the Clash's second demo session with their soundman Mickey Foote as producer, "I'm So Bored with the U.S.A."'s lyrics do exactly what its title suggests, condemning several aspects of the American society, such as drug problems in the U.S. Army (particularly heroin), support of American government backed dictatorships in the Third World (a theme later repeated on the Sandinista! track "Washington Bullets"), and popular series Starsky and Hutch and Kojak. It also criticizes Richard Nixon, mentioning the Watergate scandal's tapes.

C, G, F(barred chord), C chord progression. oh ,tune down half step, Bb. even the soloing, Mike use basically, pentatontic scales. good thing i learn those 3 scales, even tho there's 5 but you're only mainly using just 3 of the scales. the other 2 are for advance players who know what they're doing and i'm still just a guitar noob with less than 2 years of playing....God i suck! but i learn a lot from playing all my favorite Social Distortion songs.
